The Deep Repair Edit
Selected by Clare Devereux — Clinical Trichologist, Harley Street & Dublin
A three-product repair routine for hair that’s been through it — colour damage, heat styling, environmental stress, or simply years without deep treatment. Visible results in four to six weeks of consistent use.
What this routine addresses
Split ends, breakage, and hair that feels like it’s beyond help.
Split ends, roughness, and hair that breaks when you brush it are signs of structural damage to the hair shaft. Years of heat tools, chemical treatments, or environmental exposure lift and erode the cuticle layer. The Intensive Rescue Hair Mask delivers keratin and shea butter deep into the damaged structure — not a surface coat, but genuine repair.
Hair that used to shine but doesn’t anymore.
Damaged cuticles can't reflect light evenly — that's why over-processed hair looks flat and lifeless. This routine works at the cuticle level: the mask repairs, the shampoo cleanses without stripping further, and the mist smooths and seals. Shine returns because the surface that creates it has been restored.
Colour-damaged hair that’s become dry and porous.
Colour processing opens the cuticle to deposit pigment. If it isn't closed properly afterwards — or if repeated colour sessions compound the damage — the hair becomes porous, dry, and fragile. This routine restores the structural integrity that colour services depend on. Better hair condition means better colour retention.
Heat damage from years of styling tools.
Straighteners, curling irons, and blow-dryers at high temperatures cause cumulative thermal damage. The cuticle lifts, the cortex loses moisture, and the hair becomes progressively weaker. The mask's chanterelle and keratin strengthen what's been weakened. The mist's red algae provides daily protection going forward.
Hair that’s never had proper treatment — just shampoo and hope.
If you've never used a hair mask, never had a leave-in treatment, and your hair has just been washed and left to its own devices — this is the reset. Four to six weeks of this routine can undo years of passive neglect. Not because the products are aggressive, but because your hair has never had what it actually needs.
There may be a better starting point if
- Your scalp is the problem rather than your hair. The Scalp Recovery Edit addresses scalp sensitivity first — healthy hair starts with a settled foundation
- Your hair is healthy but you want a better daily routine. The Everyday Healthy Hair Edit is the simpler foundation for hair that doesn’t need repair
- You’re experiencing shedding rather than breakage — the hair is falling from the root, not snapping along the shaft. Clare has written about the difference between shedding and breakage, and the two need different responses
- Your hair changes are linked to GLP-1 medication or hormonal transitions. The GLP-1 Hair Support Edit and Hormonal Hair Support Edit address those specific situations
- You colour your hair and it’s in good condition — you just want to protect the colour. The Colour Protection Edit maintains rather than repairs
From Clare
I see damaged hair every day in clinic, and the thing that surprises most clients is how repairable it is. Hair that looks and feels beyond help almost never is. The damage is real — the cuticle is lifted, the shaft is weakened, moisture has been lost — but it responds to the right treatment faster than people expect.
This is the simplest Edit in the range for the most intensive job. The Moisturising Shampoo cleanses gently so you stop adding to the damage with every wash. The Intensive Rescue Hair Mask is the core of this Edit — chanterelle, hydrolyzed keratin, and shea butter working at a level daily conditioner can’t reach. Use it once a week in place of conditioner, and within four to six weeks you’ll feel a genuine difference in strength, elasticity, and shine. The Keratin Glow Mist then seals and protects daily, so the repair work accumulates rather than being undone between treatments.
This Edit Includes
Moisturising Shampoo
with Organic Aloe Vera, Honey & Ginkgo Biloba
Gentle cleansing that stops adding to the damage. Your hair keeps its moisture instead of having it stripped away — the first step in breaking the cycle of dryness and breakage.

Intensive Rescue Hair Mask
with Chanterelle, Hydrolyzed Keratin & Shea Butter
The core of this Edit. Weekly deep repair that goes further than daily conditioner can reach. Chanterelle and keratin strengthen the damaged shaft, shea butter restores moisture and elasticity. This is where the transformation happens.
170ml · COSMOS Natural certified
Keratin Glow Mist
with Red Algae, Hydrolyzed Keratin & Geranium
Seals the repair work and protects it daily. Keratin strengthens, red algae shields against further heat and environmental damage. The finishing step that makes sure the mask’s work accumulates rather than being undone.

Begin with personalised guidance
The right repair approach depends on what caused the damage and how deep it goes. A written assessment personalised to your hair’s history can confirm this Edit is right, suggest how often to mask, or flag whether your scalp needs attention too.

The Experience
Warm, fruity notes from the shampoo give way to the mask’s rich, creamy tuberose — enveloping and deeply nourishing. The mist closes with a fresh, aquatic finish and soft vanilla. Together it feels like a treatment, not just a wash. Something you look forward to, not just get through.
Your Routine
Two steps on most wash days, three on your weekly treatment day. Four times a week for four to six weeks — that’s the protocol for visible repair.
- Moisturising Shampoo (every wash day)
Apply to wet hair. Lather gently with fingertips, focusing on the scalp. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Gentle cleansing is essential — harsh shampoos undo the repair work between treatments. - Intensive Rescue Hair Mask (once a week — replaces conditioner on that day)
After shampooing, apply generously to mid-lengths and ends. Leave for five to ten minutes — longer if your damage is severe. Rinse thoroughly. This is the treatment that drives the repair. Don’t skip it. - Keratin Glow Mist (every wash day + non-wash days)
Towel-dry gently, then mist 15–20cm from hair through mid-lengths and ends. No rinsing. On non-wash days, use on dry hair to refresh and protect. This seals the repair and prevents further damage between washes.
This Edit doesn’t include a daily conditioner — by design. The mask does the heavy lifting once a week, and the mist maintains the results between treatments. If you feel you need daily conditioning, the Moisturising Conditioner from the Everyday Healthy Hair Edit pairs naturally.
Common Questions
How long before I see results?
Most clients feel a difference in texture and manageability from the first use. The visible transformation — improved shine, reduced breakage, better elasticity — typically takes four to six weeks of consistent weekly masking. Hair doesn't repair overnight, but it does repair.
Why isn’t there a daily conditioner in this Edit?
Because the mask does the conditioning work at a deeper level than daily conditioner can. On the six days you're not masking, the mist provides enough protection and smoothness. If your hair feels it needs more, the Moisturising Conditioner is the natural addition — but try without it first.
Can I move to a simpler routine once my hair has recovered?
Yes. Once the repair phase is behind you — typically after six to eight weeks — you can transition to the Everyday Healthy Hair Edit for daily maintenance and use the mask monthly rather than weekly. The damage gets repaired, the routine gets simpler.
This is enough. Three products, four to six weeks, and your hair will tell you the difference. Once the repair is done, the Everyday Healthy Hair Edit is the simpler routine for keeping it there.
From the Studio Notes
If you’re also noticing hair coming out at the root rather than breaking along the shaft, that’s shedding — not breakage. Clare has written about the difference between shedding and breakage and why the distinction matters. Breakage responds to repair. Shedding needs a different investigation entirely.
