This is the product I add to almost every client’s routine — not because it’s expensive or complicated, but because it’s the simplest way to extend the work your shampoo and conditioner have already done. A leave-in mist. No rinsing. Ten seconds on damp hair and you’re done.
What it does is deceptively simple: hydrolyzed keratin strengthens and repairs at the molecular level. Red algae — a marine extract called Furcellaria lumbricalis — forms a lightweight protective film that shields against heat, environmental damage, and the daily friction of brushing and styling. Lactic acid gently smooths the cuticle, which is why your hair feels immediately easier to comb through. And geranium flower oil adds a subtle floral note that lifts the fragrance into something you actually notice.
In my practice in Dublin and London, this is the Essential I recommend most often. At INCI position #5 in a short formula, this is a genuinely prominent concentration. The same protein your hair is made from, broken down small enough to penetrate and repair. Strengthens, improves elasticity, and reduces breakage — working continuously between washes.
Lactic Acid
CUTICLE SMOOTHER
A gentle alpha hydroxy acid that smooths the hair cuticle — the outermost layer of each strand. A smooth cuticle reflects light better (that’s where shine comes from), reduces tangling, and helps hair retain the moisture your conditioner just delivered. Geranium
PELARGONIUM GRAVEOLENS

Your Ritual
After washing and conditioning, gently towel-dry your hair. Hold the mist 15-20cm from your head and spray evenly through mid-lengths and ends. No rinsing — just leave it in. Comb through gently if needed. That’s it.
On non-wash days, use it as a refresher. A few sprays on dry hair revives shine, tames flyaways, and brings back the softness from your last wash. This is particularly useful if you follow Clare’s four-times-a-week wash recommendation — the mist bridges the gap on the days between.
You can also spray it before heat styling for lightweight protection. The red algae film helps shield against heat damage without leaving residue or weighing hair down the way silicone sprays do. It’s not a dedicated heat protectant — but it gives your hair a genuine advantage.
100ml sounds small, but a mist bottle delivers in fine sprays. Most clients get six to eight weeks from a bottle, even with daily use.
