That’s what this is — the conditioner I reach for when a client needs gentle conditioning that works with rather than against what their shampoo has just done.
Panthenol — pro-vitamin B5 — penetrates the hair shaft and binds moisture from within, improving elasticity and reducing the kind of brittleness that leads to split ends. Hydrolyzed wheat protein strengthens the internal structure, particularly important for colour-treated hair where the colouring process has compromised the cuticle. And betaine, at one of the highest concentrations in this formula, keeps everything impossibly gentle — the same calming agent that makes our Sensitive Scalp Shampoo so effective for reactive scalps.
In my practice in Dublin and London, this is the conditioner I recommend in two very different situations. For colour-treated clients, it pairs with the Colour Care Shampoo — light enough not to drag colour out, strong enough to protect the structural damage that colouring causes. For clients with sensitive scalps, it pairs with the Sensitive Scalp Shampoo — gentle enough for reactive skin, nourishing enough to condition the lengths while the scalp recovers. Your Ritual
After shampooing, gently squeeze out excess water. Apply to mid-lengths and ends — keep it away from the scalp, especially if your scalp is sensitive or reactive. This conditioner is designed for the hair, not the scalp.
Leave for one to three minutes. The panthenol and wheat protein work quickly — you don’t need a long wait for this formula to do its job. Rinse thoroughly with cool water to close the cuticle and lock in the conditioning.
Use every time you shampoo — whether that’s with the Colour Care Shampoo, the Sensitive Scalp Shampoo, or any other HHE shampoo. It’s deliberately versatile. Once a week, swap this conditioner for the Intensive Rescue Hair Mask if your hair needs deeper nourishment. The shampoo stays the same, only the second step changes.
